Privacy Policy

What we collect

Stasher collects only the information necessary to operate the service:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided via Clerk authentication (Google sign-in or email/password).
• Tracking data — the shows, movies, and teams you add to your lists; which episodes you mark as watched.
• List membership — which shared watch lists you belong to and your display name within those lists.
• Preferences — your streaming service selections and content filter settings.

We do not collect payment information, run advertising, or sell your data.

How we use it

• To display your tracked shows, movies, and schedule.
• To power shared lists — your display name is visible to other members of lists you join.
• To apply your content preferences when showing discovery results.
• To maintain your account and keep the service running.

Third-party services

• Clerk — handles authentication and user identity. Their privacy policy applies to account data.
• TVMaze — provides TV show metadata. We do not share your data with TVMaze.
• ESPN — provides sports schedule data. We do not share your data with ESPN.
• Vercel — hosts the application. Standard server logs (IP address, request metadata) are retained per Vercel's policy.
• Prisma / Neon — stores your data in a managed PostgreSQL database in the United States.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page, which will permanently remove your tracking data, list memberships, and preferences. Account identity data held by Clerk can be deleted by contacting us.

Cookies

Stasher uses cookies only for authentication session management (via Clerk). We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
